From rock climbing to parenthood to motorsport, our team always has some interesting stories to share on a Monday morning. Taking risks, and pushing ourselves to grow and expand is our normal.
Throughout 2022, bellette worked with a wide variety of organisations and individuals to develop and produce brand identities, formal reports, illustrations, animations, and websites. We filmed, photographed, wrote, and designed for a myriad of creative outcomes.
Opening your business or organisation to an external team can be intimidating. It takes trust that you are communicating and sharing the ‘vision’; that providing information, thoughts and ideas is being received, respected and incorporated.
The creative process is more analytical than it might seem. A logo, video or social media post requires understanding and application of context, purpose and goals, alongside the ability to imagine and create.
Each time we commence a project and meet a client, there is a moment of pause. Bringing a discussion of a concept to life, whilst ensuring industry best practices and adventurous design, can be intimidating. The fear of the blank page, the fear of the client hating it – after all, art is subjective.
While most fresh-faced creatives start out with this fear, it lessens over time. Confidence grows, and you don’t worry so much about the rejection – you learn that often a client doesn’t really know what they want until they see what they don’t want. So it’s better to just get them something to start you both off. Working as a creative means making peace with the fear and finding enjoyment and satisfaction in a job well done. Milestone by milestone, at each step in the process, guided by a brief and feedback.
Our skills, abilities and experience are applied to ensure each project is unique and that each client is happy with our work. We feel the fear, fear of rejection, of not being good enough, of missing the mark….and we do it anyway.
