Dhimurru Aboriginal Corporation is based in Nhulunbuy, NT and acts on behalf of the Yolngu Traditional Owners in the North East Arnhem Land. They facilitate the protection, conservation and sustainable management of Yolngu Country in this area. On this Country are a number of recreation areas that visitors are welcome to use and enjoy (some require permits).
We were engaged by Dhimurru to design and create a new visitor guide, that outlines the recreation areas, local wildlife and tells important stories from Yolngu people for the area.
The existing guide was over 10 years old and in need of an update. The handy 48 page document that we designed and print-managed for Dhimurru displays the vibrancy of the area and its people through the use of colour, landscape photos and illustration. It was printed on a 100% recycled uncoated stock.
The visitor guide was launch at the 2015 Garma festival to an overwhelmingly positive response from locals and visitors.
The 48 page Visitor Guide outlines the recreation areas' facilities.
It can also be used by Dhimurru Aboriginal Corporation to communicate the stories of Yolngu People.
