Qantas Pilot Academy Submission
The Department of Trade, Business and Innovation is an arm of the Northern Territory Government, with the express purpose of driving investment and trade opportunities in the NT.
When the Department discovered that Qantas were searching for two regional locations to set up their new Qantas Pilot Academy (QPA), they were quick to approach us for creative input, concepting and project management to build a written proposal and video to submit Alice Springs as an ideal potential location for the program.
Our concept was to showcase the incredible, depth and richness of the unique value Alice Springs has to offer, whilst communicating the suitability of the location based on our history of aviation, strong regard for our Indigenous cultures, facilities on offer, and access to outback lifestyle.
We were able to call upon many existing clients and our well developed local knowledge networks (including the Central Australian Aviation Museum) to obtain access to incredible historical footage and organise interviews with aviation icons for more information. Busily writing, scripting and artistically directing for vibrancy, we pulled together favours and cooperation from the CEO of the Alice Springs airport, Indigenous business representation and the historic airways Connellan family, amongst many, illustrating their enthusiastic support.
